Event Information:
There will be numerous vendors on hand to discuss topics and distribute information relating to credit, employment, education, training, etc. that can help to promote the participant’s path to self-sufficiency.
Event Outcome:
There were a total of 7 staff and 8 vendors assisting over 20 RHA residents. The staff and vendors provided residents with individualized attention and referrals.
REOC and Bryant and Stratton were on hand to discuss both, educational opportunities and training programs. The Department of Labor attracted many participants interested in employment and training grants. Participants, who were interested in purchasing a home or have purchased a home, were directed to Consumer Credit Counseling and Neighbor Works for continued credit concerns and home ownership activities; while others visited Legal Aide and Wells Fargo tables. Due to new laws forthcoming, there was a great interest in United Health Care.
