Housing for those over the age of 50 and for our Disabled Populations
COMFORTABLE LIVING for people with Limited Incomes

Rochester Housing Authority offers a number of affordable housing rental options for those 50 years of age or older, and for those living with a disability.
In total, RHA owns and operates over 2,500 housing units throughout the City of Rochester. We pride ourselves in maintaining our properties to a higher standard for the comfort of our residents.
We offer both high-rise apartment buildings and complex styled developments to meet the needs of our residents. Each style has unique advantages for every lifestyle.
High-Rise Apartment Buildings
Those who prefer a high-rise setting, enjoy having their appliances provided, as well as their utilities covered in the cost of their rent. Most of our high rise facilities have been newly renovated and have on-site amenities that may include community rooms, libraries, community meals, laundry facilities, and park-like outdoor picnic facilities.
RHA has developed a partnership with ElderSource, so that residents can enjoy the support that this agency provides to seniors. Many of our buildings have an ElderSource Staff person right on-site.
In addition to being on a public bus route, transportation is provided so that residents can go shopping either to the malls or grocery stores.
Complex Style Apartments
Our complex-style apartments are generally smaller in size, but provide residents with park-like surroundings.
Whether you prefer a high-rise setting, or complex setting, most of our properties enjoy having active tenant associations that provide ample social opportunities for residents.
